Snapshot: Ellis Island, NJ/NY

Ellis Island was the first stop for millions of immigrants to the United States back in 1892 to 1954. It was here that they were health checked and evaluated for their capabilities of becoming a productive citizen of the US.

Today, Ellis Island is a historical site that offers insights into the past with multiple activities for visitors. I definitely recommend a visit when one is in New Jersey or New York.

About Dee Gilbert

I am one half of a couple who loves to travel; the half who likes to write and share travel experiences. Reading about travelers' experiences inspire me more to see the world. So, I thought, perhaps in my own little way I could inspire others, too. :)
