Free Friday: New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, MA

New Bedford, Massachusetts was the prominent whaling port during the 19th century. This is commemorated by the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. Visitors may enjoy activities at the Park for FREE.

Visitors may enjoy a pleasant walk along historical streets.

They may also learn about the city’s history at the Visitor Center and the Museum. The former is free, but the latter has an entrance fee.

A walk by the harbor is a must.

What I enjoyed the most was a chat with Ruth and Abby.

If you’re a historical park fan, you will probably enjoy a visit at New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park.

About Dee Gilbert

I am one half of a couple who loves to travel; the half who likes to write and share travel experiences. Reading about travelers' experiences inspire me more to see the world. So, I thought, perhaps in my own little way I could inspire others, too. :)
