Free Friday: Paterson Great Falls National Historic Site, NJ

Ever seen a natural waterfall amidst the hustle and bustle of a city? This is exactly what you will see in Paterson, New Jersey.

Paterson Great Falls is located by a busy roadside. It is the main reason for the establishment of Paterson Great Falls National Historic Site.

Alexander Hamilton, a founding father of the USA, saw the falls on a visit and was inspired to turn Paterson into an industrial hub. The city was an industrial zone until after World War II.

Today, visitors may visit to learn about the history of Paterson for free. Visitors may opt to join the ranger guided tour or check out the attractions independently.
