Throwback: Ireland

The very first European country I visited with my husband is Ireland. I read about how beautiful it is and its temperate weather. When I saw what looked like a great deal online for a week’s trip, we booked it. The trip turned out to be a really enjoyable one. Our only regret was not extending our stay to explore more of Dublin.

Ireland has many castles. Visiting some of them is a must in every itinerary.

Kilkenny Castle

Cashel Castle

Blarney Castle

The countryside offers continuous visual treats.

There were structures in Dublin that looked familiar.

The Áras, doppleganger of the White House, home of Ireland’s President.

The Wellington Monument

And the entertainment, of course, is very entertaining.

I would like to go back someday.
