Snapshots: Boca Chita Key, Miami

Hubby and I are in Miami for some warmth this weekend. We wanted to get away, even for just a few days, from the freezing weather of the Northeastern United States. Today, we were at Biscayne National Park to do some things that we were not able to do the previous times we visited.

We went on a trip to Boca Chita Key via the Pelican Island Skipper.

Boca Chita Key is a small island which is part of Biscayne National Park. It can only be accessed through a boat.

People visit to picnic, snorkel, swim, walk the trail, and take in the view from the top of the lighthouse.

Read more about Biscayne National Park from my other blog, Free Friday: Biscayne National Park.

Nice. We have visited most National Parks but have yet to just drive across the state to see Biscayne; perhaps this will be our inspiration.
