Grand Canal, Venice, Italy

The Grand Canal in Venice is one of the city’s major water-traffic ways.

Public water transport such as water buses (vaporetto), water taxis, and gondola-like boats (traghetto) navigate the canal daily. Tourists go on a gondola ride to highlight their Grand Canal experience.

I love boat rides, so I totally enjoyed our days in Venice. The water taxi ride to our hotel was so much fun.

Of course, hubby and I had to go on a gondola ride which we enjoyed so much. The travel agency we toured with made sure there was live entertainment in the gondola. We cruised for half an hour with a Venetian musician and a singer enhancing our glide in the Grand Canal by gondola.

Tip: It is best to reserve a gondola ride ahead to get a reasonable rate.
