Biscotti and Vino Santo

A good match. Things that complement each other. I learned on a recent trip to Italy that Italians are very particular in what they dip biscotti, Italian almond cookies, into. In fact, they dip biscotti into only one liquid, Vino Santo, an Italian dessert wine.

The sweet Vino Santo brings out the flavor of the almond cookies while it softens it, making the biscotti easier to eat.

When in Italy, if one wants to avoid a dining faux pas, only dip biscotti in Vino Santo.

The pairing is delicious. A good match, indeed!
