Free Friday: Piazza dei Miracoli, Pisa, Italy

Piazza dei Miracoli or Square of Miracle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site owned by the Catholic Church. It is a walled square.

Otherwise known as Piazza del Duomo, its four popular edifices: Pisa Cathedral, Pisa Baptistry, Campanile, and Camposanto Monumentale attract visitors from all over the world.

There is no fee to enter Piazza dei Miracoli. But there is a fee to get in its four popular attractions. The most popular of which is the Campanile known to the world as the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Those who wish to climb the tower have to shell out a few euros. But those who don’t want to, can sit on the grass and just soak in the beauty of one of the finest architectural complexes in the world.
