Thursday Doors: Florence Cathedral, Italy 

As far as church doors go, churches in Italy offer the most artistic and ornate designs. Like this door which is one of several at the Catedralle di Santa Maria del Fiori or simply, Il Duomo de Firenze. It’s popularly known for its dome by the Italian artist Filippo Brunelleschi. But today is about doors. More on the Duomo and its dome tomorrow.
