Cherry Blossoms, Washington D.C.

Hubby and I spent the weekend with some of my in-laws in Washington, D.C.  for the culmination of the Cherry Blossoms Festival. Sadly, there were very few blossoms left. I guess the erratic weather shifting between Spring and Winter temperatures every other day hastened the blossoms’ peak time. But still, we got to enjoy the last of the cherry blossoms.

During our thirty years in D.C. it seemed to us the blossoms rarely peaked during the festival. That may have been a problem for festival organizers, but it did not diminsh the beauty of the flowers.
