Snapshots: Porto from our Bus

Porto is Portugal’s second biggest city. It is one of the oldest European cities.Porto’s Celtic-Latin name, Portus-Cale, is said to be the origin of the name Portugal.Porto is famous for its port wine. Port wine cellars are in the Vila Nova de Gaia area.Porto’s historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.The title helped boost the expansion of Porto’s tourism.The city won the European Best Destination awards in 2012, 2014, and 2017.
