Photo Challenge: Iceland, an Elemental Experience

Iceland in winter is an elemental experience. On our Golden Circle Tour, I felt the bite of the wind on my face. I saw landscape unique to Iceland.

And stood in marvel at the power of water as it sprung into the air.

Watching the geysir, Strokkur, spew hot water every few minutes filled me with awe. So did the power of the rushing waters of Gullfoss.

I did not go anywhere near an active volcano, but lava flows from Iceland’s volcanoes at any given time. Up in the air, I wondered, is that tiny speck of orange, fire from Iceland’s belly?

It wouldn’t be surprising, because in Iceland, the elements constantly display the beauty and power of nature. The display is nothing, but glorious.
