A Peek at a Royal Palace Courtyard in Seoul, South Korea

Here’s a peek at the courtyard of Changdeokgung Royal Palace in Seoul. At first glance, I thought the marked bricks in the picture were tombstones. The tour guide pointed out without even me asking that the signs indicate military ranks. They are markers indicating where high ranking military officers should stand when they are received by the king.
