My 2017 in Travel

Wow, only two days before 2018! I realized while browsing through my 2017 photos that hubby and I had been busy visiting places near and far practically every month this year! I love that I got to go to the number three place on my bucket list – Italy! It was truly a dream come true as hubby and I snagged the exact itinerary I wanted without breaking the bank! Here are my favorites from Italy.

Gliding in a gondola at the Grand Canal in Venice

Endless beauty in Tuscany

The spiritual peace in Assisi

The magical night in Florence

The historical wonder of Rome

The grandness of Rome

I have read about how beautiful Portugal is; therefore, when the opportunity opened up, hubby and I grabbed it and went on a tour of Portugal. It is a beautiful country that is full of history. These are the photos I loved from our Portugal trip.

The beauty of Porto

The view from Bom Jesus do Monte

The medieval town of Evora

The sight and smell of the sea in Cascais

In October, hubby and I went to visit our country of origin for a nephew’s wedding where were asked to be godparents to the couple. Our first! I feel old! ๐Ÿ˜„ It is an honor to be asked as godparents in weddings in the Philippines. It means that the bride and groom believe that they can turn on us for advice throughout their married life. Our trip to the motherland gave us opportunities to reconnect with family and friends over our favorite classic Filipino food.

n our way to and from the Philippines, we availed of the chance to tour some places in South Korea. I wish we had more time to explore as South Korea is a beautiful country.

f course, we traveled domestically as well. The United States is a beautiful country. Hubby and I make it a point to visit our National Parks. They not only showcase the beauty of the US, but also retell it’s history.

o there, my favorites from my 2017 travels. I am hoping 2018 will be as rich in travel opportunities. Hubby and I have already booked to visit the number two place on my bucket list. I am crossing my fingers that no more agitation in the political climate occurs so that I will get the chance to see and experience the “promised land”.

Thank you fellow bloggers for a year of sharing your photos and written words. Keep on blogging and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR! ๐Ÿฅ‚๐ŸŽ‰

With lots of fondness,

Dee
