What is my place in the world? I could take the philosophic path and simply rephrase author Kehinde Sonola, that I am but a tiny speck in the world.
But I am not going to do that because I am keen to talk about my places in the world. Nothing excites me more than the prospect of visiting medieval villages. This is why I love Europe. The continent boasts of hundreds of medieval villages. My fondness for visiting medieval villages started when I visited the United Kingdom for the first time six years ago. The medieval walls made of stone and mortar, narrow cobbled streets, and brick and timbered houses are stuff I read about in fairy tales. Walking the streets of medieval villages is like a fairytale come true. Specially for a girl who grew up in a third world country. I dreamed and hoped, but never thought that I would get the chance to set foot anywhere out of my motherland! But here I am, writing about my favorite places in the world.
Travel is a wonderful gift. I am eternally grateful. 🙏🏻
