Chasing Waterfalls

“As long as I live, I’ll hear Waterfalls and birds and winds sing. I’ll interpret the rocks, learn the language of flood, storm, and the avalanche. I’ll acquaint myself with the glaciers and wild gardens, and get as near the heart of the world as I can”.- John Muir, Scottish-American naturalist

What is it about a waterfall that fascinates? Is it the thunderous, or the gentle sprinkle sound it makes that fascinates? Or is it the powerful or graceful flow? I think the best waterfalls are liquid art made by mother Nature, as she only can.

You are correct that waterfalls seem to always grab our attention. In particular, Michelle who travels with us, will always go out of her way to see a waterfall.
