It’s sad to see the Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge go. Through the weekly challenges, I was able to discover blogs to follow and connect with fellow bloggers. But change is constant, and is to be expected in anything we do.
Thank you, Daily Post, for the fun and discoveries that your Weekly Photo Challenges brought.
Here are my three all-time favorite photos:
1. View of Tower Bridge from the Monument to the Great Fire of London
I love how the Tower Bridge fits with the contemporary buildings on both sides of it. Many times, I have mentioned that what I love about London is how the new blends so beautifully with the old. Fascinating.
2. View of ancient Rome from Palatine Hill
This is a panoramic shot I took with my iPhone while standing at a terrace in Palatine Hill. I couldn’t quite believe I was in Rome. Gazing at so much history took my breath away.
3. View of Istanbul from a ferry
Istanbul is a colorful city. The crowd at peak hours can be intimidating. As I took this photo, I was thinking what a pleasant surprise Istanbul, and the places we visited in Turkey were. The crowd, the scent of spices in the air, and the vibrant colors in the market were an assault to the senses. Our trip to Turkey remains one of the best trips my husband and I did.
Ciao!
Brilliant photos, especially love the panorama of Rome. Fantastic. You could have that made into a framed picture easily.
